Vladimir Kim
has his own creative view of the outside world. The work of this famous
artist of Uzbekistan does not conform to ordinary ideas. After
graduating from the Graphic Art Department of the Tashkent Nizami State
Pedagogical Institute Kim was not in hurry to become famous. For many
years he worked unassumingly painting small sketches mainly in
watercolor, keeping away from recognition.
His
mane theme is nature. Regardless of bad weather, rain of shine, the
painter takes himself to the Chimgan or Aktash mountains to draw
material for his numerous sketches. The motifs of his works are quite
different, each one reflect a special word, a certain emotional state.
Vladimir
Kim created his own type of landscape. By setting aside usual scenes, he
tries to bring the subject closer to the viewer. On face value his
compositions seem excessive, but this is only at first glance – the
painter takes one theme or element to describe the meaning of the
particular work (“Mountain Veil”, “Blue Dominant”, “Storeys”).
It
is only for the last 10 years. That Kim has gone in for creative work. The painter constantly searches for newways to express his surroundings. He focuses his attention on
people’s homes, an integraland
natural part of life. His unusual perspective for example, from
somewhere above, makes works such as “The house where I live” ,
“The last rays”, a series of pictures with roofs, very pithy and
impressive.
The
artist has some favorite landscape subjects which he uses to influence
his viewers for example, Kim often uses one or some trees to create an
emotional and poetic harmony within the picture. One could even perceive
them as characters with real human feelings. Examples of this style can
be seen in “The sweethearts” and ”An old plain tree”. The
relativity of an art language allows the viewer to ponder on his
existence.
The
strongestfeature in
Kim’s work is color, using color he makes dramatic images in his
pictures.
His
optimistic outlook of the life has such an influence on his viewers that
they cannot but identify with the artist’s feelings. The works of
Vladimir Kim reflect his own special world of kindness.
